Center for Radiation Therapy and Diagnostics (Ust-Kamenogorsk)

The Multidisciplinary Center for Oncology and Surgery in Ust-Kamenogorsk (East Kazakhstan) implemented a project to create a radiotherapy complex for the treatment of cancer patients.

The radiotherapy complex includes a linear accelerator (LA) and CT for simulation planning.

As part of the turnkey project implementation, the required construction documentation was developed based on an individual planning solution, taking into account regulatory requirements for radiation safety and medical logistics. A radiation protection maze, rooms for the linear accelerator and CT system, as well as auxiliary rooms and work areas were created.

Previously, the surgical department, operating unit, intensive care unit (4th–5th floors of the inpatient facility), as well as the Central Sterilization Department (CSD) were reconstructed and equipped with modern equipment. 

The Elekta Versa HD linear accelerator was supplied — the second linear accelerator installed by the company at a regional oncology center. The system enables stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) with 4D imaging and tumor motion management.

Personnel training was conducted, including commissioning training, contouring, treatment planning, and on-the-job training.
