The 150-bed Medical Building of the Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery in Almaty, featuring the first Bone Marrow Transplantation Department in Central Asia.
For the first time in Central Asia, a Bone Marrow Transplantation Department will begin its operations.
The 150-bed Medical Building comprises:
- 3 operating rooms, including a cardiac surgery operating room and an operating room dedicated to bone marrow transplantation;
- a 6-bed Bone Marrow Transplantation Department;
- a 6-bed Intensive Care and Resuscitation Unit for bone marrow transplant patients;
- a 15-bed Resuscitation Department, including 6 beds for neonatal intensive care;
- 2 Hematology-Oncology Departments with a total of 50 beds;
- a 20-bed Congenital Pathology Department;
- a 25-bed Urology Department;
- a Genetics and Immunotherapy Laboratory;
- a Transplant Processing Laboratory.
