A 150-bed clinical building of the Research Institute of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery in Almaty, featuring the first bone marrow transplantation unit in Central Asia.
For the first time in Central Asia, a bone marrow transplantation unit will begin its operations.
The clinical building is designed for 150 beds and includes:
- 3 operating rooms, including a cardiac surgery operating room and a dedicated operating room for bone marrow transplantation;
- A 6-bed bone marrow transplantation unit;
- A 6-bed intensive care and resuscitation unit for bone marrow transplant patients;
- A 15-bed intensive care and resuscitation unit, including 6 beds for newborns;
- 2 oncology and hematology units with a total of 50 beds;
- A 20-bed congenital pathology unit;
- A 25-bed urology unit;
- Blood bank;
- Genetics and immunotherapy laboratory;
- Transplant processing laboratory.
