MIT at the X Congress of Oncologists and Radiologists of Kazakhstan: Focus on Innovation and Leadership in Radiation Therapy
From March 12 to 14, X Congress of Oncologists and Radiologists of Kazakhstan took place in Almaty at the Rixos Almaty Hotel. MIT participated as a partner of this significant industry event․
The congress was organized by the Kazakhstan Society of Oncologists and Radiologists in collaboration with the Kazakh Institute of Oncology and Radiology. The event brought together oncologists, radiologists, hematologists, nuclear medicine specialists, oncologic surgeons, medical physicists, healthcare administrators, and other related professionals from Kazakhstan and abroad.
As part of the exhibition, MIT presented advanced solutions, including Elekta linear accelerators designed for high-precision radiation therapy. The Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, A. Sh. Alnazarova, visited the company’s stand and showed strong interest in technologies capable of significantly improving the quality of cancer care in the country.
MIT actively contributes to the development of radiation therapy infrastructure in Kazakhstan. To date, the company has delivered three linear accelerators that are currently used to treat oncology patients at the following medical institutions:
- Regional Oncology Dispensary (200 beds) in Taraz;
- Radiation Therapy and Diagnostic Center in Ust-Kamenogorsk;
- Pavlodar Regional Oncology Dispensary in Pavlodar.
