For the first time in the CIS countries, a revolutionary solution integrating a surgical microscope with functional capabilities of robotic movement and augmented reality has been implemented at City Clinical Hospital No. 7 in Almaty.
Features of the KINEVO 900 robotic visualization system:
- Robotic alignment with six degrees of freedom using a guided instrument (Brainlab Pointer, Zeiss QEVO®, NICO BrainPath®, etc.);
- Robotic alignment along trajectories and points with 3 and 6 degrees of freedom;
- Following the tip of the navigated instrument and auto-focusing on it;
- Navigation update to compensate for shifted anatomical structures;
- Complete integration of the microscope with Spine Navigation software;
- Semi-transparent augmented objects injected into the eyepiece and overlaid on an external monitor (e.g., 4K 3D monitor);
- Touch control for rotating microscope projections on the navigation screen;
- Various picture-in-picture modes (e.g., 2D navigation, tractography information, augmented object overlay, etc.);
- Ergonomic remote control (via handle) with an overlay menu on the heads-up display;
- Visualization of injected planned structures as contours in the eyepiece;
- Microscope tracking with visualization of the optical axis and focal point at the instrument tip.
The solution for integrating the KINEVO 900 microscope with navigation systems is a joint development by specialists from two companies: CARL ZEISS and Brainlab.
Our company is the exclusive distributor of Brainlab in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
