On December 26, 2025, Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region Nurymbet Saktaganov and Minister of Health Akmaral Alnazarova visited the new multidisciplinary hospital complex in Ridder, which officially opened on December 24, 2025.
MIT acted as the single general contractor, overseeing medical technology design, the supply and logistics of more than 40 units of heavy medical equipment to a remote region, installation and commissioning, staff training, and the transfer of the entire equipment fleet to a unified service contract.
One of the operating rooms in the new complex is equipped with integrated video systems and advanced surgical equipment.
The complex includes a 200-bed inpatient facility and a 500-patient outpatient clinic. It consists of three buildings and is designed to provide high-tech, specialized, and emergency medical care to residents of the region.
The opening ceremony of the complex was attended by the regional leadership and the Minister of Healthcare.
This marks a significant leap forward for the region: residents of East Kazakhstan can now receive surgical and intensive care at the level of a regional center without having to travel to Ust-Kamenogorsk or Almaty.
