Medical Innovative Technologies LLP (MIT) implemented a project to equip the East Kazakhstan Regional Multidisciplinary Center for Oncology and Surgery with a state-of-the-art Elekta Versa HD linear electron accelerator.
The project was implemented with the financial support of the «Qazaqstan Halqyna» Public Foundation as part of a charitable program aimed at developing oncology services in the East Kazakhstan Region.
As part of the project, MIT provided a full range of services — from preliminary preparation of the premises to equipment delivery and commissioning. The company’s specialists carried out construction and installation works to refurbish the premises for the linear accelerator in the radiology building of the radiation therapy center, supplied, installed and commissioned the linear accelerator, and provided training for the center’s medical personnel on the operation of the equipment.
Elekta Versa HD is a modern radiation therapy system designed for the highly precise treatment of oncological diseases. The system supports advanced radiation therapy technologies that enable highly accurate treatment planning while taking into account the individual characteristics of each patient and the location of the tumor.
The scope of supply also included a PTW dosimetry system and Orfit immobilization devices, which are essential for ensuring the accuracy and reproducibility of radiation therapy procedures.
The installation of a second linear accelerator in Ust-Kamenogorsk will expand the capabilities of the oncology center and improve access to modern radiation therapy for residents of the East Kazakhstan Region.
MIT is the official distributor of Elekta Solutions AB (Sweden) in Kazakhstan and implements comprehensive projects to equip healthcare facilities with modern technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases.
