Neuromodulation Congress supported by Brainlab and MIT

MIT, together with the world’s leading manufacturer Brainlab, will participate as a silver sponsor at the International Neuromodulation Congress, taking place on October 2–4, 2025, in Almaty.

The Congress is organized by the Public Association «Kazakh Society of Neuromodulation» — the first professional platform in this field in Kazakhstan and the national division of the International Neuromodulation Society (INS).

Congress program highlights:

  • Discussions on the latest technologies for treating neurological disorders using neuromodulation;

  • Presentations of global innovations, including Elon Musk’s Neuralink project;

  • Specialized workshops addressing key issues in neuromodulation.

A dedicated medical equipment exhibition will take place on October 3–4 at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

MIT will present:

  • A workstation and software for stereotactic planning — Brainlab Elements Stereotaxy — enabling specialists to ensure the highest accuracy and efficiency in neurosurgical interventions;

  • Magic Leap 1 with the Mixed Reality Viewer to demonstrate the potential of augmented and mixed reality in medicine.

Brainlab Elements is an advanced software solution for stereotactic planning, compatible with most arcs and implants, and widely used in Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), biopsy, and Stereoencephalography (sEEG).

Key features:

  • A unique anatomical mapping technology enables the creation of 3D models of critical structures, including the basal ganglia;

  • The “synthetic tissue” model assists in classifying brain tissues, identifying abnormalities and asymmetries;

  • Tissue-based segmentation takes into account the individual characteristics of each patient, ensuring precise and safe planning.

We are confident that participation in the Congress will make a valuable contribution to the development of neuromodulation and the exchange of best practices among specialists.
