On October 26-27, 2023, Astana hosted the IX Congress of Oncologists and Radiologists of Kazakhstan, with the support of MIT as the General Sponsor of the event.
The IX Congress of Oncologists and Radiologists in Astana served as a platform for exchanging experience, advanced practices, and technologies in oncology and radiology, as well as establishing contacts among professionals conducting scientific research aimed at improving the diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases.
At the exhibition held within the framework of the forum, our company presented advanced equipment and innovative technologies from leading global manufacturers such as Elekta, GE HealthCare, Insightec, Brainlab, PTW, Vision RT, Comecer, and ABX.
Dr. Farkhad Manapov, Head of the Department of Thoracic Oncology and Radiation Oncology at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Germany), presented a report on modern radiation therapy for intracranial tumors with precise patient positioning. The study was conducted over a period of 8 years. In his work, he used the ExacTrac Dynamic Brainlab system, which provides high-precision irradiation across a wide range of patient positioning and monitoring workflows, including the treatment of cranial localizations. The system combines real-time X-ray tracking with revolutionary surface thermal tracking technology, ensuring exceptionally high accuracy. Our company is the exclusive distributor of Brainlab (Germany) in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Innovative developments were demonstrated at the MIT stand, including syringe-less automatic CT and MRI contrast injectors from Ulrich and Sanova. Magic Leap virtual reality glasses with MixedReality Viewer from Brainlab featuring modern software applications for visualization and surgical planning were also showcased.
