On November 28, with the support of Medical Innovative Technologies LLP, an off-site meeting of the Board of the Republican Public Association (RPA) “Federation of Anesthesiologists and Intensivists” was held at City Hospital No. 2 in Shymkent, jointly with the Shymkent branch of the RPA.
The meeting focused on improving anesthesiology and intensive care services for the population of the city. The participants discussed key areas for the development of the service, modern clinical approaches, and practical aspects of specialists’ work.
The program included presentations and discussions on the following topics:
- modern approaches to the treatment of sepsis and septic shock;
- current aspects of HELLP syndrome;
- parenteral nutrition in children;
- pain management in oncology patients;
- ensuring safety in obstetric anesthesia;
- algorithms for the management of severe traumatic brain injury.
Holding the meeting in this format brought together the expertise of specialists, strengthened interregional professional cooperation, and helped identify further pathways for the development of anesthesiology and intensive care services in Shymkent.
