Opening of the first center of robotic surgery in Kazakhstan

December 27, 2017 in the City Hospital №1, Ust-Kamenogorsk, the opening of the first in Kazakhstan Center for robotic surgery was held.

During the opening, the Governor of East Kazakhstan region Mr. Akhmetov D. K. got acquainted with the robotic surgical system Senhance, Transenterix Italy s.r.l. (Italy).

“Surgical robotic system Senhance” – an apparatus for carrying out complex endoscopic operations through minimally invasive accesses, a robot assistant for a surgeon. The Senhance Transenterix system is an innovative stage in the development of laparoscopic surgery. The technology of robotic endoscopic surgery is a symbiosis of endoscopic surgery and robotic control tool management.

Mr. Akhmetov D. K. also spoke with the surgical team of doctors trained to work on the surgical robotic system Senhance in TransEnterix, in Milan.

The opening of the center of robotic surgery in Ust-Kamenogorsk is a successful example of the introduction of high-tech medical innovative technologies in the development of health care in the East Kazakhstan region and Kazakhstan as a whole.
