First in Central Asia: Loop-X Mobile Imaging System
MIT, the exclusive distributor of Brainlab in Kazakhstan, has won the tender to supply the mobile imaging system Loop-X for equipping the operating room at the Central City Clinical Hospital in Almaty. This delivery will mark an important step in the development of advanced surgical technologies in the country and will allow Kazakhstani doctors to work with world-class equipment.
Loop-X is an intraoperative cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) system for 2D and 3D imaging, developed by Brainlab (Germany). The device combines high-precision imaging with intelligent robotic automated positioning, ensuring maximum comfort and efficiency for surgeons.
Thanks to its mobility, Loop-X can be integrated into any operating room, and its flexible design allows optimal positioning of the system to obtain images without having to move the patient. This technology is particularly valuable for complex neurosurgical, trauma, and orthopedic procedures where every fraction of a millimeter matters.
The introduction of Loop-X into the work of the Central City Clinical Hospital will:
• Significantly increase diagnostic and navigation accuracy during surgeries;
• Reduce the duration of surgical interventions;
• Lower patient risks through gentler and more precise procedures;
• Bring the level of medical equipment in Kazakhstan closer to international standards.
MIT continues to fulfill its mission of implementing advanced medical technologies in Kazakhstan, providing doctors with modern tools to save lives and restore patients’ health.
