MIT at the Congress of Oncologists and Radiologists of Kazakhstan in Astana
On October 26-27, 2023, the IX Congress of Oncologists and Radiologists of Kazakhstan was held in Astana with the support of MIT as the General Sponsor of the event.
The IX Congress of Oncologists and Radiologists in Astana became a platform for exchange of experience, best practices and technologies in the field of oncology and radiology, as well as contacts of professionals in the field of scientific research aimed at improving the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

Dr. Farhad Manapov, PHD, Head of the Department of Thoracic Oncology,Radiation Oncology Department at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich (Germany) presented a report on modern radiation therapy of intracranial tumors with precise patient positioning. The study was conducted over a period of 8 years. In his work, he used the ExacTrac Dynamic Brainlab system, which provides high-precision irradiation in a wide range of patient positioning and monitoring workflows, including treatment of cranial localizations. The system combines real-time X-ray-based tracking with revolutionary surface temperature tracking technology to provide incredibly high accuracy. Our company is the exclusive distributor of Brainlab (Germany) in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Innovative developments were demonstrated at the MIT stand, including an automatic CT and MRI injector from Ulrich and Sanova for supplying a contrast agent. Magic Leap virtual reality glasses with MixedReality Viewer from Brainlab with modern software applications for visualization and surgical planning were also presented.
