Meeting between MIT and Elekta: Collaboration in Advancing Oncological Care in Kazakhstan

Medical Innovative Technologies held a meeting with Pavel Zbrodin, Regional Director of Elekta, a leading global developer of radiotherapy and oncological care solutions.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation within the framework of Kazakhstan’s oncological care development program. This includes the supply of Elekta linear accelerators to regional oncology centers in Kazakhstan and the training of medical specialists. Additionally, modern Elekta solutions for radiosurgery, radiotherapy, cloud-based technologies, and more were presented.

One of the key areas of collaboration will be the training of medical physicists in partnership with leading universities in Kazakhstan. The training program for doctors and medical physicists covers introduction with equipment operation, planning stations, specialized software, and clinical training.

The cooperation between Medical Innovative Technologies and Elekta aims to provide patients in Kazakhstan with advanced radiation therapy methods, enhancing treatment effectiveness and improving the quality of life for cancer patients.

Medical Innovative Technologies is the supplier of Elekta linear accelerators to the Multidisciplinary Center of Oncology and Surgery in Ust-Kamenogorsk and the Regional Oncology Dispensary in Taraz.
